Indeed you are one of the few who are daring to display what present generation is capable of.Keep it up!Others will follow you.,In Sweden young inventors are very encouraged and there are even practical displays and competitions and for the public to see. From there they sell themselves to the companies and so theirs is not wasted. We have so much wind at Kinungi on Naivasha road to mention one and so close to the national grind that would cost almost zero if those with responsibilities care at all.

The wind in Kinangop is enough to inject power into the grid for a good amount of time in one year. Kenya's appetite for energy is increasing and it is only fair that it utilizes its resources and not just gulping down gallons of oil.Such a project despite the fact that its cost is steep, It will be a small electricity bill price to pay at the end of the day for me and you.

  3. @Austin Mwangi: Yes, apart from the Mega Projects like Lk.Turkana Wind, the govt should develop small wind projects in rural areas.

The Govt should continue laying the grid now that they have done feasibility studies on solar and wind and tap these resources on large scale. A favourable environment for investors and the private sector can enable us to produce cleaner energy that will power us towards vision 2030. We should also try to avoid use of to much lead in batteries otherwise....Austin
